We at the Medical Management Centrum (MMC) at the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) at Karolinska Institutet are looking for a project leader in the area of medical management with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Your mission

We seek a knowledgeable project leader with experience of a research project related to AI applications in health and care. You will be placed in the Clinical Management Research Group at the Medical Management Centre at the LIME department. Your role will be comprised of project management and education of master’s students in the Health economics, policy, and management program, with a focus on the subject areas of AI and SPC within medical management.

Your work will include:

  • Coordination of educational activities in masters-level medical management courses
  • Evaluation of prospective students applying to the master’s program
  • Supervision of master’s theses
  • Development of teaching material well-grounded in research and evidence. For example the development of case-teaching material and teaching notes based on research studies and reports
  • Teach master’s students, primarily in the form of seminars and case-teaching
  • Record lectures
  • Collaborate with research colleagues

Your profile

Mandatory qualifications:

  • Medical degree
  • PhD within a relevant field
  • Subject matter knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Experience of independent research and teaching of AI applications within medicine
  • Experience of SPC applications within health and care improvement projects
  • Experience with case-teaching
  • Experience of thesis supervision at the master’s level
  • Knowledge of how to develop, implement, and evaluate interventions to improve health and care
  • Experience of working collaboratively with care provider, business, and health care purchaser organizations
  • Very good knowledge about how to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data
  • Good collaborative skills and like to work in groups
  • Ability to communicate fluently, both written and orally, in English
  • Experience as a project leader

It is meritorious:

  • if you also have a Bachelor’s or Master’s management degree.
