Are you passionate about contributing to a better health for all through education? We at the Medical Management Centrum (MMC) at the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME) at Karolinska Institutet are looking for a project leader in the area of medical management.

Your mission

We seek an experienced and knowledgeable project leader. You will be placed in the Clinical Management Research Group at the Medical Management Centre at the LIME department. Your role will be comprised of project management and education of master’s students in the Health economics, policy, and management program, with a focus on medical management.

Your work will include:

• Coordination of educational activities in masters-level medical management courses
• Evaluation of prospective students applying to the master’s program
• Supervision of master’s theses
• Development of teaching material well-grounded in research and evidence. For example the development of case-teaching material and teaching notes based on research studies and reports
• Teach master’s students, primarily in the form of seminars and case-teaching
• Record lectures
• Collaborate with research colleagues

In addition, based on your experiences and existing data from health and care, you will make use of your teaching and the teaching material to illustrate the medical consequences of management decisions and help our students to develop a similar competency.

Your profile

Mandatory qualifications:

• Medical degree
• Experience of having worked clinically as a physician
• PhD
• Considerable experience of independent research and teaching within the subject area of medical management
• Considerable experience with case-teaching
• Considerable experience of thesis supervision at the master and doctoral level
• Considerable interest and experience of developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions to improve medical management
• Considerable experience with collaborations with care provider, business, and health care purchaser organizations
• Good collaborative skills and like to work in groups
• Ability to communicate fluently, both written and orally, in Swedish and English
• Experience as a project leader
