Your mission

The postdoctoral position (1 year) is immediately available in Professor Margaret Sällberg Chen's research group at the Department of Pathology. We are seeking a researcher to join our team and actively participate in the study of tumor bacteria and cancer development. The individual selected will primarily engage in experimental studies using cell biology- and microbiological methods across various cancer models. The work will be carried out in a research-intensive environment focused on tumor microbiology.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced researcher who has expertise in working with 3D-based mini-tumor/cell cultures, confocal/immunofluorescence microscopy, and anaerobic microbiological culture techniques. Experience in handling and isolating blood cells, as well as human tissue immunostaining is also preferred. We encourage applications from candidates who have previously published research reports using these models and methods. The role requires strong organizational and methodological skills essential for effective management of patient samples and biobanking activities.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
