The Digital Psychiatry Lab at the Centre for Psychiatry Research has been awarded funding for an innovative research project on how payment gateways can be used in the prevention of problem gambling. We are now looking for a post-doctoral researcher for this, and two other gambling-related projects.

Your mission

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will act as project manager and be responsible for driving the project forward from start to finish, in collaboration with the research group leader and other involved researchers. This includes securing necessary permits and agreements, designing studies, collecting and analyzing data, writing manuscripts, and more. You will also participate in two other gambling-related projects run by the research group.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

For this interdisciplinary project, we welcome applicants from a range of disciplines, including psychology, public health, product design, HCI and more. Documented experience in gambling research and/or financial dimensions of mental health problems is a requirement, as is good knowledge of English. Experience and knowledge of so called fin-tech is a strong merit.

After an overall assessment of the expertise and merits of the applicants in relation to the subject area, Karolinska Institutet will determine which of them has the best potential to contribute to a positive development of the activities at KI.
