Clinical research and basic science studies focusing on safety and efficacy of fertility preservation and reproductive health are being conducted in the group of Adjunct Professor Kenny Rodriguez-Wallberg at the Department of Oncology Pathology, Karolinska Institutet. The Team is mainly dedicated to Reproductive Oncology (Oncofertility) and reproductive outcomes of cancer survivors, but it has also extended research on assisted reproduction technologies, infertility and its causes and treatment. As a Research Assistant you will play a key role in our clinical studies at the forefront of current research, in close collaboration with clinical scientists.

Description of the subject area

We are focusing on normal and disease functions of the female reproductive organs, especially the impact of the microbiome on reproductive health and on fertility outcomes in clinical studies. There is a specific focus on clinical studies recruiting women with specific symptoms and reproductive health outcomes.

Your mission

The group is now recruiting a Research Assistant who will work in close collaboration with clinicians and the rest of the team on the development of several clinical cohort studies. In addition, the successful candidate will be placed at clinical units and will be involved in patient recruiting for the studies, and sampling.

Your profile

Qualification:

To be eligible for employment as a Research Assistant for this project, the applicant must have knowledge and some experience of clinical medical areas such as medicine, midwifery, nursery, although not necessarily with completion of the education program.

Merits:

  • It is especially important that the applicant has a high ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously, solve problems independently, and interact well with group members.
  • Previous experience in clinical research constitutes a strong merit.
