Your mission

We are looking for a research assistant within the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME), the MINT team.

This is a unique position where we seek a candidate with a breadth of skills to support the strategic coordination of national and international technology-focused educational projects, overview and completion of the projects’ activities, maintaining the network and identify further collaboration opportunities.

You will be involved in several research project and mainly in our upcoming Horizon2020 project AI enabled healthcare services during cross-border medical emergencies and regular patient services (ESCORT).

Specifically in this position the research assistant will:

 

  • Write reports, abstracts, articles, grant applications, project proposals with special focus on emerging technologies within healthcare and learning 
  • Present work at health informatics conferences 
  • Participate in calls, manage, coordinate, and collaborate with various educational institutions and other organizations to ensure timely delivery of reporting and project deliverables 
  • Coordinate research efforts and project deliverables 
  • Coordinate and perform scientific studies including data collection, data analysis, and authoring of articles
  • Plan and perform evaluations for implementations of health informatics research projects
  • Travel internationally for conferences and meetings 
  • Identify and follow up on action items and key deliverables through their completion.
  • Identify possibilities for research and other collaboration within the partners’ networks and communicate them to the center’s head and management committee.

 

Your profile

Education/experience/skills required:

  • Masters of science degree in Health Informatics or related scientific field
  • At least two years of demonstrated experience with large collaborative national/international projects, specifically Erasmus+ and/or H2020
  • Skills and experience in coordinating and performing qualitative and quantitative studies including planning methods, writing project proposals and grant applications, data collection, data analysis, and scientific writing
  • Experience in designing and developing educational materials such as RLOs and MOOCs
  • Previous work experience of refugee healthcare education
  • Prior research experience in a university setting
  • Prior experience with education and e-learning
  • Be able to self-manage, working both independently with minimal supervision and with internal and external teams
  • Effectively capable to multi-task, establish priorities, and work in fast-paced environment
  • Very good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Docker and Python

Qualifying:

  • Experience of Rayyan or similar tools for conducting systematic reviews.
  • Experience of co-creation methods.
  • Familiarity with OpenLabyrinth.
  • Proficiency in SQL, UML, data visualization tools such as Tableau, R, or SPSS 
  • Knowledge of healthcare informatics standards such as SNOMED CT, HL7 FHIR, and openEHR
