This postdoc project will be carried out in the research group of Assoc Prof Pauliina Damdimopoulou at the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGY) of the Department of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology. Research and education at OBGY are focused on the many aspects of women’s reproductive health including ovarian biology, endometrial receptivity, fertility preservation, reproductive toxicology, stem cell biology, developmental biology, and fetal medicine. The present project is a part of the newly funded European project MERLON where impacts of endocrine disruptive chemicals on reproductive health in women are studied.
You will work within project MERLON to generate novel human ovarian cell models for the assessment of endocrine disruption. Your responsibilities will encompass collecting and analyzing clinical samples, immortalizing primary cells, and genetically modifying cell lines. Additionally, you will be responsible for summarizing data for publication and presentations, participating in MERLON activities and administration, and contributing to the common laboratory tasks of the group. Moreover, you will collaborate with researchers in Sweden and abroad, participate in meetings, and engage in other events to disseminate project findings. Administrative tasks are also part of the role.

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required.
