The Department of Global Public Health is an interdisciplinary institution that aims to advance knowledge on how to improve population health at local, national and global level. Research at the department aims to identify the determinants of health, develop and evaluate individual and structural interventions, and provide evidence for guidelines and policy documents. Many of the department's researchers are scientific advisors to authorities and other decision-makers at regional, national and international level. The department has 10 research groups, about 100 research students and about 140 employees.
This project will contribute to the second Lancet Commission on Adolescent Health and Wellbeing. It will include case studies of the Global Financing Facility for Women, Children and Adolescents (GFF) in up to four countries to understand the opportunities and challenges of this financing mechanism for adolescent health and wellbeing in countries. This project will look at how adolescent health and wellbeing is identified in the country GFF investment case, the financial mapping of investors including government budget allocation, assess implementation progress towards program goals, youth and other stakeholder engagement and where possible, the financial flows towards the ultimate recipients/users at community level.
This is a temporary position, and the extent of the employment will vary between 40-80% based on the need for the project. The employment will be up to 6 months.

You will be reporting to postdoctoral researcher Olivia Biermann who will be leading the work, in close collaboration with Dr Mariam Claeson, senior project manager. This position involves travels to low- and middle-income countries.
Language skills in Portuguese or French are meritorious.
