A research assistant to help with the production of artwork, research figures, slides, and images for scientific communication. Our group is conducting research in vaccine research from basic immunological mechanisms to clinical studies.

Your mission

Your role as a temporary research assistant will be to produce artwork, research figures, slides, and images for research papers, reports, and presentations. The position is on an hourly basis when there is a need for assistance. You will communicate with the researchers in the group and help design and produce academic presentation designs and scientific illustrations.

Your profile

A requirement is that you have prior experience in producing artworks with both vector and handmade styles in scientific/medical illustrations using Adobe Creative Suite applications or similar software and an education that includes a variety of art style skills, such as conceptual art, typography, pictorial, and abstract illustration production. Having experience on a previous hourly basis employment with a company or a similar group is a plus. You must be able to work independently and be able to be receptive and flexible to work collaboratively with our group members to discuss their needs. You need to have a basic understanding of the academic research system. The working language is English. Much emphasis in the selection process will be put on the individual’s personal qualifications, including portfolio style, and their match to our group.

Location

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of twelve divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the research group of professor Karin Loré at the Division of Immunology and Allergy, Dept of Med Solna. We perform research in vaccine immunology with several international collaborators and sponsors.
