Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

We are a translational research group at the Division of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care aiming to improve the treatment of critically ill patients treated in the ICU by elucidating their metabolic and nutritional problems better. We achieve this by using different research approached from intervention studies including patients to mechanistic studies using cell cultures. We have a close interaction between the laboratory and the clinic to ensure relevant research questions and implementation of research into the clinic.

You will be running independently your own cell culture experiments using C2C12 myoblast and THP1-derived macrophages cells. The main analysis will involve the measurement of autophagy flux by western-blot and In-Cell western. Quality control for contamination and myotube fusion index will be done routinely. You will be working independently on the project but under supervision of the overall project manager.

Your profile

You have a bachelor degree in a biological subject with experience in cell culture (preferably myoblasts) with good aseptic techniques, qPCR, Western Blots and general laboratory analyses.

As a person, you have high integrity and take initiative. You also have an ability to analyze and solve problems, independently and with your colleagues. You have good knowledge of spoken and written English.
