We are looking for a postdoc who will work in interdisciplinary research projects within the Department of Insurance Medicine, where research and teaching on various aspects of sickness absence, health, work, and life situation is conducted. Right now, we need a postdoc in a project involving people with multiple sclerosis. Your mission

The position involves participating in, planning, and implementing research projects within insurance medicine/sickness absence research. Your duties will primarily involve data management of register and survey data, statistical analyses, compilation of results, and writing manuscripts and grant applications, in close collaboration with other project participants. You are encouraged to develop your own ideas and work towards advancing your own independent line of research within the area.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

Documented experience of epidemiological studies is required for the position. Experience of working with large databases of register and/or survey data as well as analyses in, e.g., SAS, STATA, SPSS, or R, are meriting for the position. Experience of working with nationwide Swedish registers and research within the insurance medicine and/or MS area are particularly meriting. Good knowledge of spoken and written English is essential. The applicant should show a high degree of conscientiousness, initiative, and independence. The work will be conducted in collaboration with the PI and other project members, and places high demands on flexibility and good collaborative abilities. Furthermore, personal suitability is important.
