In our research group, you will find a unique opportunity to work closely with top researchers in the borderland between psychology and neuroscience to jointly try to understand human cognition on a neural level. The project is focused on increased understanding of our working memory, an integral part of flexible cognition. You will plan and implement human cognitive and neuroimaging studies. In particular, the project focuses on understanding working memory in different modalities (smell, vision). The postdoc will conduct multiple studies, using EEG, fMRI and MEG in human subjects, and analyse data.
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
A doctoral degree in cognitive neuroscience or equivalent is required.
Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the position, emphasis will be put on the candidate’s ability to work and function in a team. Most importance will be placed on documented skills in cognitive neuroscience research, for example on working memory, and experience in planning and executing cognitive experiments. It is also meriting with experience in collecting and analysing EEG/MEG, experiments using smell and/or vision, analysis of behavioral data and scientific writing. The applicant will be expected to quickly and independently be able to work in these areas.
Very good skills in English are required. Good skills in written and spoken Swedish is meritorious, as is experience of working in international teams.
