The National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention, is looking for someone who is well versed in cognitive psychology, experimental methods with a focus on higher executive functions and their implications in mental health.

Your mission

We are now looking for a project coordinator to work 15% within the scope of  the EXPERIENCE research project, funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation framework program. The purpose of EXPERIENCE is to create an extended-personal reality that allows users to create their own virtual reality (VR) environment with built-in virtual simulations that evoke unique psychological, cognitive, neuropsychological, and behavioral reactions. KI's role is to investigate and evaluate the possibility of using this extended-personal reality as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool for various mental disorders.

As a project coordinator, you will participate in activities such as:

  • Providing consulting support within the framework of the EXPERIENCE project
  • Planning, adapting, and implementing validated cognitive tests for virtual environments.
  • Contributing to the analysis and reporting of data.
  • Further developing tests for diagnosing depression in virtual environments.
  • Working closely with data engineers and ML specialists to integrate different types of data structures.
  • Performing research-supporting administrative activities.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have:

  • Experience in work and research within experimental psychology, particularly focusing on executive functions and multitasking.
  • A Ph.D. in cognitive psychology.
  • Experience in planning and conducting quantitative studies, including data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Current scientific production (e.g., participation in scientific articles in the next 2-3 years).
  • Excellent language skills in English.

It is an advantage if you have the following skills:

  • Experience in the design and implementation of psychometric tests for executive functions.
  • Experience with tests for multitasking.
  • Experience in working with suicide prevention.
  • Current scientific production in the field of cognitive psychology, suicide prevention, or mental health.
