In our group with group leader of Soo Aleman, we study the natural course, co-morbidities, predictors of complications, and treatments of viral hepatitis B, C and D. Also, some research involve COVID-19 and Longcovid. We work in an interdisciplinary and clinically integrated research environment with multiple national and international collaborations. A focus in our team is to study the incidence and risks of liver cancer, develop tools to predict this risk in different populations for individualized care.

Your mission

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be able to work and develop your career within highly relevant research projects, work with several experienced supervisors, and the opportunity to work on high-quality registry. You will be convey and work with clinically relevant research questions study design, statistical modeling and analysis, and manuscript writing. You will present and communicate your research in national and international platforms and communicate important findings to wider public audience.

Your profile

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

You are required to be trained in epidemiological and statistical methods. The position demands that you are experienced and effective when you work in R, Stata, SAS or similar software. You are required to have experience in registry-based research and epidemiological methods. You have proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English. Fluent Swedish is required, due to work with extraction of data from Swedish medical records. You are expected to have excellent communication skills, generous with your expertise within the group, supervise and teach younger researchers.
