Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

The Rydén and Mejhert lab aims to understand how alterations in human white adipocyte function is related to cardiometabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, and coronary sclerosis. Our group consists of 15-20 members (senior researchers, postdoctoral fellows, PhD/master students, and technical staff) and has all the necessary infrastructure to conduct translational research including a fully equipped preclinical laboratory at NEO and a clinical research unit at the Karolinska University Hospital, Huddinge.

Your mission

We are recruiting a research assistant to work on a project where we aim to define the organellar proteome of human adipocytes. The project is ongoing, but important tasks such as data generation, integration and validation in cell models remain to be completed. The position is for six months but may be extended by six months pending the completion of the project.

Your profile

The person appointed must have a master’s degree in the field of biology/medicine (or equivalent) and be experienced in approaches such as cellular fractionation, immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy, and gene editing.
