The Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology (MTC) at Karolinska Institutet conducts research and teaching within immunology, infection biology, cell biology and cancer. MTC has about 40 research groups and our key words are multidisciplinary, bridging, national and international collaborations.

Current projects involve antibody discovery, vaccine design, building models of molecular evolution, and various applications of deep learning.

Your mission

Duties of this role involve:

• Contributing to and maintaining modeling codebases
• Novel model development
• Benchmarking and validation of new model

Your profile

1. Masters, or greater, is desirable)
2. Familiarity with relevant biological concepts
3. Demonstrable coding experience, with code available on public repositories
4. Willingness to work in Julia (experience with Julia is additionally desirable)
5. Experience with deep learning, including the development and benchmarking of models
6. Familiarity with concepts in basic probability theory and statistical inference
7. Ability to communicate clearly in English
