In our research group you will find a unique opportunity to work with top researchers in the borderland between epidemiology, psychology, and insurance medicine. In the research group we study risk factors for and consequences of work incapacity considering factors related to heredity and environment using both survey and national register data on a large twin cohort. We offer a stimulating and international scientific environment at the Division of Insurance Medicine, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to high-quality research at an international top level.
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to participate in several projects on mental health and labour market marginalisation. The work tasks will include study planning, data management and analysis, manuscript writing, and grant applications. The candidate is expected to be able to work individually as well as in close collaboration with other researchers in the group.
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
Documented experience of epidemiological studies and experience of analysis using, e.g., SAS, STATA, or R is a requirement. Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written is also a requirement. Experience of work with large databases, nationwide Swedish registers, and survey data, as well as experience of studies based on twin material is meritorious. Particularly meritorious is experience of research in mental health and sickness absence. Clinical experience in child and adolescent psychology and receiving own research grants is an advantage. Applicants must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, initiative, and independence. The work involves working closely with others, so good communication and cooperation skills are essential.
