Do you want to contribute to world leading research focusing on studying the regulation of the blood and lymphatic vasculatures using genetic mouse models? We are looking for a research engineer for a time-limited assignment of 6 months.

Your mission

The research engineer will support the research in the group, in particular involving microscopy and image analysis. The work includes support for on-going research projects, maintenance of microscopes and training of group members in microscopy analyses. The applicant will also design and execute experiments, following consultation with the supervisor.

Your profile

Qualifications:

  • A PhD degree in a relevant discipline such as biochemistry, molecular biology or developmental biology.
  • Extensive experience of microscopy, including confocal and super-resolution microscopy.
  • Extensive experience of image analysis and processing.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of confocal microscope instrumentation to facilitate troubleshooting and communication with service engineers.
  • Experience and knowledge of in vivo work, including Felasa certificate.
  • Experience of experimental vascular biology research.
  • Good English writing and communication
  • High organization skills and the ability to work independently.
