Do you want to contribute to better health for all?

Our research group - Epidemiology of Psychiatric Conditions, Substance use and Social Environment (EPiCSS) - is headed by Professor Christina Dalman. Within our group you will find a unique opportunity to work closely together with cutting edge researchers at the intersection between psychosocial and biological sciences. We offer an engaging and international research environment where you may contribute to high quality research on an internationally competitive level.

Your mission

We are seeking an experienced and motivated project coordinator to manage the daily running of a new randomized controlled trial (RCT). The trial will examine the effects of yoga-based exercise on health and wellbeing among middle-aged and older adults diagnosed with post COVID 19 condition (post COVID). We aim to recruit approximately 100 participants over 18 months.

Under supervision, you will be required to set up and implement the trial, including, screening and assessment of new participants; set up and manage a project database (including data entry); liaising with physical fitness centres responsible for the intervention; register the trial and publish the protocol; jointly lead the ethics application;  ensure that recruitment targets are met and the trial runs smoothly (monitoring adherence and arranging follow-up assessments). Upon completion of the trial, there may be opportunities to lead data analyses and write scientific manuscripts for publication.

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in public health, medicine/nursing, exercise science or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience (past 3 years) coordinating a community-based RCT.
  • Sound understanding of RCT theory and design.
  • High level administrative and organizational skills (including the capacity to multi-task and manage high workload periods).
  • Excellent social/interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.

Post-doctoral researchers who are interested in a project coordination role (as described above) are also encouraged to apply.

Highly desirable, but not essential requirements: Medical and nursing graduates with experience managing trials involving physical activity interventions, patients with COVID, and/or older participants, are particularly welcome to apply.
