Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

A research assistant is needed part time to provide support to the Höglund research group. The group’s focus is on cellular and molecular immunology with a focus on natural killer cells, platelets, and neutrophils. Basic questions on NK cell and T cell immunology are combined with clinical questions on how immune responses to platelets and neutrophils are controlled in autoimmune cytopenia. The immunology of transfusion medicine is one aspect that we are interested in.

Your mission

To handle general duties in the lab common to our projects. You will be a resource to the group’s laboratory manager and take care of common tasks, keeping track on common laboratory reagents and equipment, particularly linked to the clinical part of the projects.

Your profile

Applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree in an area relevant to medical research, such as biomedicine, molecular biology, immunology, or other suitable education. Candidates with an experience in laboratory diagnostics and with a high degree of organizational skills are highly encouraged to apply. Previous experience with flow cytometry and handling of human blood samples will be looked upon positively. Applicant should be fluent in English (written and spoken). Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
