Description of the subject area

The subject area is clinical psychiatric research and treatment development in child and adolescent psychiatry, with a focus on complex psychological disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder and related conditions. Clinical psychiatric research and teaching within KI and the Region Stockholm has since 2007 been organized within the framework of the joint organizational structure of CPF.

Your mission

CPF has successful lines of research and education in the field of adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, addiction, eating disorders, and child and adolescent psychiatry. Within KI/CPF all educations are conducted in the areas of adult psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, addiction, and child and adolescent psychiatry. Child and adolescent psychiatry research is a broad subject area with high priority for the Swedish government. The Department wishes to strengthen this field of research through recruiting a Senior Lecturer. The Senior Lecturer in child and adolescent psychiatric science shall promote research in this area through actions in research, preferably across a broad variety of research methods and broad range of topics, from the study of etiological mechanisms to the development and testing of clinical interventions, which can in turn be implemented for clinical use.

The successful applicant will conduct independent research and is expected to work closely with other members in the CPF Division and the Department, national and international collaborators, contribute significantly to a productive research environment, obtain independent funding, supervise students, and participate in post graduate research education. The appointee will also be expected to develop doctoral education courses in the subject.
