The department is involved in advanced basic scientific, clinical and epidemiological research. The department is one of the largest departments of education at Karolinska Institutet.

About the research group

Ujjwal Neogi Research Group is working in the area of systems biology, intending to unravel novel biological insights by integrating multi-omics biological datasets. Our lab specializes in the generation and analysis of multi-omics data related to viral diseases. Our department is one of the clinical/translational infectious diseases departments at Karolinska Institute, located in the newly built ANA Futura, with all the facilities to conduct cutting-edge research. We are now looking for a Research Assistant to the Systems Virology lab at the Flemingsberg Campus in Huddinge. The employment is a fixed-term employment for 3 months.

Your mission

In your role as a Research Assistant you will perform qPCR, Western Blot, cell culture, PBMC isolation, protein purification. You will also accompany other lab members in the lab and take part in the common laboratory-related responsibilities e.g. maintaining and keeping track about the orders.

Your profile

We are seeking person with knowledge in qPCR, Western Blot, cell culture, PBMC isolation, protein purification techniques, You should have completed your undergraduate program (1st cycle) with proficiency in English and taken part in several research internships. Experience in developmental biology, mainly in the lungs is a requirement. Good communication skills in English both in written and spoken form is a requirement. Computer skills is also a requirement.
