The Sundling Research Team focuses on understanding the immune response to different pathogens with the aim to find biomarkers to better distinguish them on a molecular level. We are now recruiting a Research Specialist who will focus on biomarker discovery and validation in samples from individuals with or without infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). The studies involve bioinformatic analysis of different types of immunological datasets, with a focus on data integration and biomarker discovery.

Your mission

As a Research Specialist in bioinformatics and systems biology, you will investigate immunological signatures associated with Mtb infection status. The project will include analysis and visualization of large datasets and the integration of different types of data. You will be involved in all parts of the projects, ranging from generating your own research ideas, writing funding applications, data analysis, supervision of students and teaching, statistical analysis, and writing scientific publications.

Eligibility requirements

The candidate must hold a PhD or equivalent to a Swedish doctoral degree in the field of biomedicine or bioinformatics followed by several years of working as a postdoc or equivalent meriting work.
