At the Division of Rheumatology at the Department of Medicine, Solna research is conducted on diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system, inflammatory as well as non-inflammatory. The Division of Rheumatology offers good opportunities to both clinical research on large and unique patient groups from the clinic along with biomedical and experimental animal research. The position is full-time for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Your mission

You will work with research projects in SLE. Duties include independent work with coordination of projects and translational studies within SLE.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have pursued innovative research and have a deep understanding of autoimmune diseases. You should be able to understand and speak Swedish at a basic level, and you should be fluent in English, both spoken and written. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. Previous experience of working with the current tasks and research within genetics and precision medicine in SLE is meritorious. Previous research of translational nature within neuropsychiatric SLE and/or lupus nephritis is strongly meritorious. 

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.

Location

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of twelve divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the research group Ioannis Parodis. The work touches on various aspects of SLE.
