Our team at the WHO collaborating center at the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health, Division of Neonatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology is interested in understanding the molecular mechanism involved in human fertility and infertility as well as the role of selective progesterone receptor modulators (SPRMs) in women’s health and cancer prevention. We, now offer a position for Bioinformatician (level of Biomedical scientist) to support the bioinformatics work in experimental and clinical research projects. Your mission

As part of the experimental study team, you will be supporting the research team in performing bioinformatic analysis using the latest tools. You will have to develop pipelines and algorithms to meet the bioinformatic needs of the research projects in collaboration with researchers. Your work involves analysis of RNAseq data from smartseq 2/ 3 and spatial transcriptomics. You will eventually work with multi-omics. Knowledge of machine learning will be added advantage. 

Your profile

A master’s degree in bioinformatics or allied field with good (minimum 2-3 years) experience in the field of bioinformatics. You should have good knowledge in bioinformatic tools, coding (R or Python), different packages and data resources. If the project demands, you should be able to develop new bioinformatic tools, keen to explore and learn recent advances in the field of omics-data analysis as and when evolves with time. You should be an expert in analyzing data from bulk RNA and single cell seq. Good communication skill in English is needed as you will be interacting with a team of international researchers in experimental and clinical research. A good team spirit to work in an international, multicultural, multidisciplinary working environment is needed.
