Do you want to contribute to better health for all?

Your mission

We are looking for a Research Assistant (Forskningsassistent) to Marie Löf’s IMPACT Research group (https://ki.se/en/bionut/the-impact-research-group-marie-lof), working within the Work Unit of Researcher Ioannis Ioakeimidis. The group has a wide research interest, spanning from clinical studies to real world data analytics, focusing on the use of novel technologies to monitor health-related behaviors and support behavioral change. A current research focus is the performance of studies with children and young people, focusing on eating behavior analysis, in relationship to socio-demographic and built- and food-environment living characteristics. The planned data collection and analysis entails behavioral measurements and behavioral evaluation in school-based studies, as well as analysis of food environment parameters in the living environment of the participating students. Data collection will be supported using dedicated, purpose-built digital tools. This position is temporary for 12 months.

Your profile

An educational background in nutritional and dietetic science and experience with clinical dietary consulting is preferable. Any previous experience in behavior-related video analysis (e.g., using Noldus Observer XT as an annotation platform), is a strong advantage, especially if it concerns analyzing eating and meal-specific behaviors. Similarly, hands on experience with data analysis, use of statistical programs (i.e., R software), and experience conducting randomized (i.e., randomized crossover or randomized control trials) studies are very relevant. Having published or in-review scientific papers, is also an advantage. Strong oral and written skills in English are required. Some experience with eHealth data collection methodologies is also desirable. Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
