In our research group you will find a unique opportunity to understand the effects of medication on brain connectivity assessed with different imaging modalities (diffusion MRI, functional MRI, EEG, MEG) in addition to new imaging sequences, plasma biomarkers, cerebrospinal biomarkers and cognition in Alzheimer’s disease. This project will be carried out in the Brain Connectomics Lab, which consists of 3 PhD students and 2 Postdocs working at the Clinical Neuroscience Department at Karolinska Institute under the supervision of Associate Prof. Joana B. Pereira and Assistant Prof. and Neurologist Sara Garcia-Ptacek.
You will be responsible for the analyses of brain images and conducting the statistical analyses to test the hypotheses of interest to the project in large international cohorts. You will also be involved in the collection of new data from Karolinska University Hospital and performing analyses on this data.
The candidate is expected to be highly motivated, independent and have good communication skills. In the roll as postdoctoral researcher you will collaborate with other group members, contribute to ongoing projects, propose new ideas, complete research projects and write manuscripts of high scientific quality.
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
The Postdoctoral studies will be performed for 2 years. Depending on performance and funding opportunities, a larger period may be considered.
