Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

The current postdoctoral fellowship is funded by the Strategic Research Programme in Diabetes (SRP Diabetes) at Karolinska Institutet. The postdoctoral project is within the field of pharmacoepidemiology with a special focus on the impact of socioeconomic factors on antidiabetic (ADM) medications use. Main focus will be on pharmacoepidemiological research and causal inference methods using data from national health registers. The aim is to investigate the impact of socioeconomic factors on ADM use, discontinuation and type 2 diabetes (T2D) consequences such as cardiovascular diseases, kidney failure and retinopathy.

The postdoctoral fellow will be supervised by the principal investigator Dr. Laura Pazzagli and supported by other members of the research team (including international collaborators). The pharmacoepidemiology Research Team at the Clinical Epidemiology Division, Department of Medicine Solna, will host the fellow. Based at Karolinska Institutet, the fellow will undertake a cutting-edge research project and be part of the SRP Diabetes Postdoctoral Fellowship programme, for which several events and networking opportunities will be held throughout the year such as high-profile international lectures, symposia, internal retreats, etc. which the fellow will attend. It is our intention that the position will start in the spring of 2023, though some flexibility with the start date might be possible. The fellowship is fully funded and the position is for 2 years, with the possibility of extension.
