The main goal of the research at the Unit of Integrative Epidemiology is to improve the understanding of the causes and consequences of ill health and disease, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases, psychiatric disorders, and cancer. We strive for multidisciplinary approaches in epidemiologic research and integrate different scientific tools when addressing specific research questions. The Unit seeks an enthusiastic research assistant. 

Your mission

The successful candidate will support and participate in several research projects. The main tasks are project coordination for COVIDMENT (https://covidment.is) and data management and analysis. You are expected to cooperate with researchers within the Unit and from other Noridic countries in these assignments. Other tasks include administrative and organisational assignments.

The ability to work in a highly interdisciplinary and international environment, and to engage in continuous professional development is a must.

Your profile

The successful applicant is expected to have:

Advanced data management and analysis skills using R, SAS or Stata Experience and interest in project coordination, and data management and analysis Experience of conducting scientific research, data analysis and manuscript writing Interest in working in an international research environment , preferably with experience of international collaborations Excellence in written and verbal communication in English. Knowledge of another Nordic languages (e.g., Icelandic or Danish) is an advantage Attention to detail, problem solving ability and social skills are highly valuable Knowledgeable and serious about data protection and GDPR rules
