Applications are invited for a position as a postdoctoral researcher in clinical neuroscience with a focus on MEG at the national MEG lab NatMEG, Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Neuro division, Karolinska Institutet. The position has a focus on investigating neurodegenerative disorders using EEG, conventional MEG and on-scalp MEG systems.
The successful candidate will be a part of a productive and dynamic research environment working with MEG-based brain imaging methods with applications in cognitive and clinical neuroscience. This work entails using EEG and MEG (both conventional and on-scalp) methods and has a particular focus on neurodegenerative disorders. The candidate is also expected to support users at NatMEG, conduct teaching and supervision of students and researchers in the subject.
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
Applicants must have a PhD in neurology, or a related discipline. The successful applicant must have experience planning, collecting, and analysing data from MEG measurements, preferably with an Elekta/MEGIN TRIUX scanner. Further the candidate must have experience with patient recordings and neuropsychological assessments. A successful applicant should be experienced in MEG/EEG analysis using FieldTrip and/or MNE Python. Experience with eye tracking is beneficial.
Excellent English and Swedish skills are required. The work involves close collaboration with users and subjects and demands flexibility and good communication skills.
