The research carried out at the Department of Laboratory Medicine has an immediate impact on human health. An important part of the department's work is to provide the specialised skills needed to train future health professionals. 
The VIVAC (Vaccines and Immunotherapies against Viruses And Cancer) research group focuses on basic research but also on the development of vaccines and new immunotherapies against viral diseases and cancer. We are currently looking for a research assistant for a fixed-term position of one year.

Your mission

As a member of the VIVAC team, you will work on the development of new immunotherapies, mainly for cancer. You will support the identification of novel immunological receptors targeting cancer neoantigens and the optimization of mRNA vaccine candidates. You will also be expected to participate in the general tasks of the group, report scientific results in oral and written form, participate in scientific meetings and communicate effectively with colleagues. 

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a degree in applied life sciences with proven experience working with immunological assays and cell culture. Previous experience in the identification of antigen-specific T-cell populations is merited. Good communication skills in English both spoken and written are a requirement. The ability to work in a highly multidisciplinary and international environment and to participate in continuous professional development is also a requirement as the research group has several national and international collaborations with both academia and the pharmaceutical industry.
