Your mission

We are looking for an analytical person who has a strong interest in research and improving our understanding of how we can quantify human behavior through machine learning methods.  The position is as a research engineer in a project that evaluates how we can deduce emotions from video recordings of facial expressions.  The position is linked to Johan Lundström’s research group (see link below) at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Division of Psychology, Karolinska Institutet.  The employment is full-time for 12 months. You will primarily work with:

  • Develop analysis of moving images to extract information about facial expressions
  • Develop analysis of biometric data to better understand human behavior
  • Use these analyses to understand the human brain

Your profile

A Master's degree in engineering is a requirement. The applicant should ideally have documented experience in computer vision and machine learning, especially deep learning. It is also of great importance that the applicant has a very good analytical ability and good programming skills. Furthermore, personal suitability is important.
