The Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (MEB) is among the largest departments in epidemiology in Europe and has a particular focus on deepening knowledge of the causes of various diseases.

We are responsible for education at basic and advanced level within the medical program at KI and responsible for the scientific development (VetU) and the Degree project course. As responsible department for the degree project in the medical program, we are responsible annually for 300 students who carry out projects in a wide range of clinical and preclinical subjects. Our department consists of researchers, PhD students, biostatisticians, data collectors, database administrators and administrative staff, a total of approximately 250 employees. Your role

We are now looking for an adjunct for a fixed-term position. You will mainly work with the Degree Project course but also contribute to the departments’ overall teaching and learning activities. The assignment includes examination of students’ written degree  projects in medicine.

Who are you?

Eligible to be employed as an adjunct is someone who has demonstrated pedagogical skills, has completed a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence in a subject area relevant to the duties.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience of teaching courses and has previously worked as a coordinator. Previous experience as an examiner of the reports is highly meritorious. Documented teaching experience and previous work with higher education are meritorious, as well as research experience and scientific competence in a subject area relevant to the duties.

For this role, we see that you are structured, have good cooperation skills, possess personal maturity and integrity.

Basis of assessment

When assessing the applicants, we place particular emphasis on pedagogical skills and ability to review and give feedback to students’ report in a structured way.
