The main goal of the research at the Unit of Integrative Epidemiology is to improve the understanding of the causes and consequences of ill health and disease, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases, psychiatric disorders, and cancer. We strive for multidisciplinary approaches in epidemiologic research and integrate different scientific tools when addressing specific research questions. The Unit seeks an enthusiastic research assistant to a one year temporary position. 

Your mission

The successful candidate will support and participate in research projects conducted within the unit, with a focus on research into Covid-19 and mental health. The main tasks will involve data management/data cleaning, statistical analyses, in addition to research-related administrative tasks. We are looking for someone who feels comfortable in a supporting role.

The ability to work in a highly interdisciplinary and international environment, and to engage in continuous professional development is a must.

Your profile

The successful applicant is expected to have:

  • Formal training in epidemiology or public health
  • Advanced data management skills using STATA or R
  • Experience and interest in statistical analysis and reporting of research findings
  • Experience of undertaking literature searches and scoping reviews
  • Interest in working in an international research group
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication in English (C2 level)
  • Previous experience as a research assistant is preferred
  • Good organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are highly valuable
