The Digital Psychiatry Lab at the Centre for Psychiatry Research has been awarded funding for an innovative research project on how payment gateways can be used in the prevention of problem gambling. We are now looking for a Research Specialist to act as project manager for this project.

Your mission

As a Research Specialist, you will act as project manager and be responsible for driving the project forward from start to finish, in collaboration with the research group leader and other involved researchers. This includes securing necessary permits and agreements, designing studies (primarily qualitative ones), collecting and analyzing data, writing manuscripts, and more.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for employment as a Research Specialist, in addition to holding a Degree of Doctor, PhD, or having equivalent scientific expertise, the applicant must have demonstrated research expertise as well as have documented research experience after defending their doctoral dissertation.

For this interdisciplinary project, we welcome applicants from a range of disciplines, including psychology, public health, product design, HCI and more. Documented experience in gambling research and/or qualitative methods is a requirement, as is good English.

Assessment criteria

Experience and knowledge of so called fin-tech is a strong merit.

After an overall assessment of the expertise and merits of the applicants in relation to the subject area, Karolinska Institutet will determine which of them has the best potential to contribute to a positive development of the activities at KI.
