The research is performed in an interdisciplinary setting with strong collaboration with clinical departments and other national and international research groups.

Your mission

Dr. Bergen’s group conducts research investigating the genetic and environmental risk factors for psychiatric disorders, specifically, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and depression. Projects within this research area will be possible upon agreement, making use of the exceptional data from the Swedish National Registers and several genetically informed collections across a range of psychiatric disorders collected within Sweden. Interest in psychiatric genetics research is a prerequisite and knowledge of this research field is an advantage. Successful candidates will have a high level of English proficiency and ample experience with publishing research articles. We are seeking a candidate who is responsible, motivated, independent, curious, hard-working, and committed to producing high-quality science. With us you will also have the opportunity to grow and develop as a researcher in a successful, interdisciplinary research team.
