Clinical microbiology is central in diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. There is a tremendous development in different fields of clinical microbiology during the recent years.
The work includes establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with our lab members and students, as well as various groups of people in both the hospital and the university, including clinical staff, external and internal collaborators, funding agencies, and certain administrative personnel. Laboratory duties include coordination of experiments, retrieval of data from clinic LIS, retrieval of clinical isolates for clinical research, and laboratory housekeeping. Administrative duties include ensuring the maintenance of laboratory experiment records, purchasing and procurement, student project coordination, help in scientific writing and grant application, as well as scheduling of meetings.
We are looking for a candidate who is at an early stage of his career and who wants to develop experimental, administrative and communicative skills. You will work in close collaboration with the group leader and be an active part of the daily research work in the group. You will be specifically involved in a project that deals with the use of artificial intelligence and "digital imaging" in clinical microbiology. You act as an administrative support to the group leader and play a key role in the logistics around the many different projects.
We are looking for you with a Bachelor's degree in medical science, biomedicine or similar, as well as previous experience of working with the implementation of artificial intelligence in clinical science. Good knowledge of English is also a requirement, both in writing and speaking.
