This position is a translative research position between medical imaging and liver surgery. The ideal candidate has experience of both. Our goal is to evaluate liver function and predict liver growth after hepatectomy.

Your mission

As a postdoctoral researcher in Radiology, you will:

  • perform animal experiments and imaging using MRI, Ultrasound and CT.
  • perform advanced image analyses.
  • plan and perform experimental and eventually also clinical studies in close cooperation with transplant surgeons, radiologists and radiographers.
  • take an active part in seminars and supervision of PhD students.

Your profile

To be a successful candidate, you have experience from evaluating liver function by MRI and you have passed the necessary animal courses to perform animal research in Sweden. You have experience in RIS and PACS and you have previously performed research using radiomics and/or artificial intelligence and deep learning. You have fluent knowledge in speaking and writing English. We are looking for a structured candidate with high social skills, who is able to work independently. We value personal qualities in the selection of candidates.

Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.
