The Department of Laboratory Medicine consists of 6 divisions and is active in many areas of Laboratory Medicine. The department is involved in advanced basic scientific, clinical and epidemiological research. The department is one of the largest departments of education at Karolinska Institutet.

The Division of Clinical Chemistry is carrying out research to elucidate the molecular basis of cardiometabolic disease integrating basic science, clinical medicine and translational approaches.

Your mission

Isoprostanes are an important oxidative stress biomarker. You will be part of an ongoing project in determining if they can be used as an outcome marker for different patient populations. Your tasks will be to test different preparation protocols and prepare samples for Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS).

Your profile

You have experience with lab work in clinical chemistry or related subjects, either from previous employment or from university studies. For university students we require that you have completed two years of education as a BMA, biochemist or related.
