Research assistant

We are recruiting two summer students for the months June and July 2022 to work in the group of Professor Gunilla Karlsson Hedestam, see https://ki.se/en/mtc/gunilla-karlsson-hedestam-group.

Your mission

You will work with the isolation and characterization of primary cells from human donors using flow cytometric analysis, RT-PCR, and functional assays. You may also work with Next Generation Sequencing of immune repertoires and the analysis of such data.

Your profile

You are a medical student at least 3 years into the program, or a master student in the final year of a program in a relevant subject. You have prior experience working with primary immune cells, flow cytometry, PCR, and/or experience with expression of recombinant antibodies and immune repertoire sequencing. You are fluent in both written and spoken English and you enjoy working in an international environment. You are comfortable working independently in the lab after some supervision and you are keen to learn different tools to analyze biological data.
