We work with experimental and bioinformatics models and methods, including cells, zebrafish, and different omics analysis. We are now recruiting a Research Assistant who will work with Professor Harri Alenius and Associate Professor Emma Wincent in a short-term project related to the impact of xenobiotic chemicals on the commensal microbiome.
The project is centered upon identifying the impact of xenobiotic chemicals on the composition and function of commensal microbiota, and how these changes subsequently are linked to metabolic function of the host, using zebrafish embryos as experimental model. The empoyment is temporary for six months and expected starting date is June 2022.
We are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated individual with a solid background in toxicology, cell biology and/or microbiology. Previous experience of laboratory work is required.
