What do we offer?

BCM is focused on gene and cell therapy approaches as well as being the host for several core facilities within preclinical and clinical medical research. BCM is located within TRACK, Translational Research Center Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset (old CRC), which is a common resource for researchers from different departments at Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital. A large part of the clinical laboratory research at Karolinska University Hospital is performed at TRACK.

The present opportunity for a laboratory engineer is at Core Facility for Morphologic Phenotype Analysis (FENO), which is part of BCM. FENO focuses on comparative pathology as a service function and competence center, primarily for scientists at Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital but also elsewhere. FENO provides expertise on necropsy techniques, gross morphology, and histological examinations including sample preparation, staining, immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization for bright field and fluorescent microscopy. FENO is involved in a variety of research areas, and offers an exciting working environment with a broad scope in a growing field. The majority of projects involve analysis of rodent models.
