Our research group studies the fundamental mechanisms of angiogenesis, the key process of blood vessel formation, in various diseases. Our aim is to understand molecular and functional mechanisms of angiogenesis in the onset and progression of most common and lethal human diseases such as cancer, metabolic disease, and cardiovascular disease.

Your mission

Your mission will be to perform research work with animal experiments, including mouse and zebrafish model to investigate the mechanism of tumorigenesis, tumor metastasis and metabolism. By using molecular biology techniques such as cell culture, RNA and protein assays to analysis tissue from animal models. Primary cell isolation from whole blood will be also routinely used as a part of primary cell collection in line with Ethical permission. Knowledge of Power Point, Excel and statistical programs is required. You will be responsible for data analysis and presentation of the results. You need to be able to handle purchases, plan the orders and be in contact with collaborators to fully support your own experimental work.

Your profile

Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.
