Our team at the WHO collaborating center at the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health, Division of Neonatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology is interested in the role of selective progesterone receptor modulators (SPRMs) in women’s health and cancer prevention. We now offer a Biomedical scientist position (BMA) to support the laboratory work and project activities in studying the fundamental biology of these agents. Do you want to join our interdisciplinary team and work with us on our common vision which is to make women’s cancers a disease of the past?

Your mission

As part of the experimental study team, you will be supporting the laboratory studies with everything from sample collection, performing the laboratory experiments by following protocols, support analyzing the data and presentations. The experiments will be based on cell cultures, RNA and protein techniques. You will take part in laboratory planning meetings and discussions with the whole research group.

The position is for 2 years, starting from April 1, 2022. 

Your profile

A bachelor’s degree as biomedical scientist or a master’s degree in any discipline of life sciences with a good knowledge in cell and molecular biology techniques (cell culture and its preparations, immunohisto/cyto-chemistry, RNA extraction and real time PCR). Knowledge in basic computer programs like word, excel and power point.  Good communication skill in English and Swedish is preferred. A good team spirit to work in an international, multicultural, multidisciplinary working environment is needed.
