We are seeking a highly motivated person to join our cell-mediated immunity team. You are expected to work closely together with post docs and PhD students in Ass. Prof. Marcus Buggert’s group. The work will involve taking care of peripheral blood and tissue samples from Covid-19 vaccinated and infected patients as well as patients undergoing surgery. You will prepare samples for direct analysis of cell-mediated immune responses and for biobanking for future research. You will most likely also become directly involved in specific research projects on T cells.
The applicant should have a Master’s degree (MSc) in biomedicine, molecular biology or equivalent when the position starts. You should have documented experience in taking care of peripheral blood from patients as well as the preparation of those for samples for direct analysis and for biobanking for future research. Extensive experience in working with tissue samples from humans, including experience from working in BSL-2 or BSL-3 laboratories, will be viewed as a merit. For the current position, characteristics such as ability to cooperate, availability, flexibility and ability to work with the relevant group are especially valued. Good Swedish and data coding skills in R, Python or equivalent will also be considered as merits.
