Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

At the Department of Oncology-Pathology basic, translational and clinical research and educational activities related to cancer is carried out. Approximately 300 people from over 40 nations are currently working at the department. About 30 research groups with various cancer research profiles are involved and we have around 110 PhD students

The successful candidate will have the access to our unique patient materials data sets, through main supervisor Prof. Johan Hartman. Similarly, the candidate will have chance to perform top-level breast cancer studies together with our collaborators at both KI and Science for Life Laboratory.

Your mission

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow interested in studying breast cancer with a main focus on immune-oncology. The position will be placed in the research group headed by Professor Johan Hartman at both Cancer Centrum Karolinska and Bioclinicum. The Hartman group is a translational group with a drive to improve breast cancer therapeutics. The group members are from various disciplines and working as a team to study breast cancer treatment resistance mechnisms, intratumoral heterogeneity, as well as computational pathology and image analysis. Scientists in the group work closely together with our collaborators using a variety of technologies to generate novel knowledge about the biology of the disease and implement tools to support the clinical-decision making in the oncology setting.
