Centre for Translational Microbiome Research, CTMR, aims to better understand the contribution of the human microbiome to physiology and pathophysiology with the goal to open opportunities for development of novel therapies in the area of gastroenterology, reproductive health and cancer.

Your mission

As a lab engineer at CTMR, your main task is to maintain the large-scale automatic lab equipment and sequencer. You will troubleshoot issues related to instrument running, data processing and software performance. You will also perform preliminary on-site failure analysis to identify root cause and feedback to the lab manager. Together with the lab manager, you will also help to train the new users. The employment is a temporary position for 6 months.

Your profile

Eligible to be employed as a lab engineer is a person who has professional background in Electronics/Biochemistry/Engineering or related subjects. You have 2+ years prior work experience in servicing biomedical equipment, preferred molecular biological or equivalent instrumentation with high complexity. Prior knowledge and experience on Genetics, Molecular Biology or Bioinformatics is required

The position requires great demands on outstanding problem solving and interpersonal skills.
