We are recruiting for a temporary research position (3-4 months) in the lab to support ongoing projects lead by other investigators from September 2021. The work does require basic knowledge in immunology and documented previous hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, immune cell isolation, culture and modification, as well as advanced flow cytometry.

The Department of Medicine, Huddinge conducted preclinical and clinical research in a variety of areas and undergraduate and graduate education. The department is internationally oriented and consists of seven units with about 40 teams.

Your mission

The Bryceson group studies lymphocyte differentiation with a focus on the cellular and molecular pathways that control viral infections. This is studied in human cells, as well as in cell line models. Key technologies applied towards these research directions include molecular biology techniques, genome editing, advanced flow cytometry, DNA and RNA sequencing, drug screening, and advanced mass spectrometry.

The project is pursued at HERM, Neo building, Karolinska Institutet Campus Flemingsberg.

Your profile

Completed or ongoing training in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology or equivalent is required as well as hands-on experience of molecular biology techniques, cell culture and modification, as well as advanced flow cytometry and knowledge of cell biology and anti-viral immunity in general. The successful applicant should be fluent in written and spoken English.
