In our research group, you will find a unique opportunity to work closely with top researchers in vision physiology and eye movement control where we are trying to understand how the human brain integrates and processes sensory inputs. Your mission

The successful applicant will assist our researchers with technical support in software programming, calibration of hardware, and data validation. You will also support the researchers in collecting data on test subjects and patients. The tasks also include some lab maintenance and administration.

Your profile

it's preferable if you are an engineer or engineer student. You find it easy to grasp complex topics and to propose and design software to help our researchers conducting well-controlled research projects within neuroscience. You can work in a team but also independently.

You should have

  • previous experience of working in a research environment
  • good skills in working with Matlab and Origin Pro (Microcal)
  • good communication skills in English since the group is international
  • communication skills in Swedish with patients and test subjects

It is strongly advantageous if you have previous experience of recording eye movements with eye-tracking equipment and assist in analyzing eye-tracking data

It is advantageous if you have previous experience in synchronizing multiple recording systems for high precision timing of recordings
