The PET group at Karolinska Institutet is one of the world leading research groups in this area. One of the major applications of PET in drug development is to study drug-receptor interactions in vivo, with results helping to optimize treatment with both new and established drugs. These activities are conducted in a comprehensive collaboration between the PET group at Karolinska Institutet and various pharmaceutical companies.

The work primarily consists of application of organic chemistry techniques to the production of tracers labelled with short-lived radionuclides for PET. You will mainly work with routine production of11C and 18F-labelled radiotracers for PET as well as in different research projects for development of noveltracers. As the PET group is performing translational studies, you will produce PET tracers to be used in both animals and humans.

Your profile

We are looking for a skilled and motivated radiochemist with at least 2 years of experience in production of 11C and 18F-labelled radiotracers in GMP laboratory conditions.
